Well Told

Great brands are built on compelling stories. And compelling stories come from powerful truths. That is why McCann has stood for Truth Well Told for over a hundred years. Brands that embrace the truth, and indeed champion it, are rewarded with deeper, more authentic relationships with people. Truth is the foundation of all our strategies and ideas. It is the wellspring for people, brands and businesses that want to move forward. McCann has dedicated itself to the pursuit of truth like no other agency. If you have the time, please take a look at our Truth Studies. It’s where you’ll find many of the most illuminating truths we’ve recently uncovered.

TODAY

McCann first opened its doors in Sydney, Australia in December of 1959. Offices in Melbourne, Brisbane and New Zealand soon followed.

Looking back at its achievements since those early days, there’s no denying the agency’s history is steeped in some of Australian advertising’s most memorable moments.

Iconic campaigns such as ‘Louie the Fly’, ‘The Milky Bar Kid’, and the ‘It’s Time’ campaign for the Australian Labor party are a true testament to McCann’s trailblazing legacy. As is the famous giant ‘Coke Sign’ in Sydney’s Kings Cross – a landmark that has long been part of local residents’ vernacular.

Today, this legacy continues as we look forward to the future…

If history has taught us anything, it’s that staying relevant in a constantly evolving market is the biggest challenge our industry faces. This challenge is whole-heartedly embraced at McCann.

Although tradition echoes within our walls, refreshing our outlook and revitalising our talent base is key. After all, the people within our walls make us who we are.
